Our group classes, part of the Cancer Rehab Program, are conveniently held at the University of Regina. These sessions last 50 minutes and are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

At the Rest and Restore Program, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. That's why prescreening and assessment are required before starting the program. Zoom Class frequently asks questions

How to join an Online class?

Click the link in the email I’ll send to you before class. This will open the class in a new website browser.

What is ZOOM?

  • Zoom is a web-based video conferencing that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Downloading from the App Store to your smartphone or iPad is FREE. Also, you can access Zoom from your computer.

How do I download the ZOOM app?

  • From your phone or iPad, head to the App Store before your class (on the smart device you will be using) and download the Zoom Cloud Meetings App for a fee.

  • When you receive your email link (that is sent 15 minutes before the start of your class), all you have to do is click on the link & app will automatically open up & you will be in your class. Sometimes, you may need to put in the meeting number and password (both are included in the email)

  • Often, when you click on the link, it will take you directly to class

  • New link for each class

How Far in advance do I need to register for an online fitness class?

  • Please register at least one hour before the class starts. After that time, you might not receive your email link. Ideally, the night before.

  • Add your first name and the first letter of your last name

What kind of space is needed in my home for an online fitness class?

  • We suggest you have a small area cleared of obstacles so you won't trip on anything. Also, have all equipment around you and ready to go.

  • Weights

  • Bands

  • Mats

(If you don’t have weights)

  • Soup cans

  • Water bottles

  • 4L milk jugs filled with water or sand

What do I wear?

  • We suggest wearing exactly what you would normally wear to workout: athletic gear, running shoes, a water bottle

Can other participants see me when I sign into a class?

  • Yes, people will be able to see you! Using your camera is how we can provide feedback and techniques.

  • Other participants will be quite small on the screen. I will be the only one that you see in large view. Don’t be shy. Everybody will be working hard and worried about themselves, not what they do.

Where do I place my phone/iPad/computer during the class? (Plug it in)

  • We suggest that when setting up your device, you put it at a level in the room that is easy for you to see (eye height) and that is propped up.

  • We also suggest that you keep your device fully charged or plugged into a power outlet so it does not die during class.

  • You can also use Apple TV to project the class to your TV.

How do I ask questions during class?

  • Before class, you can talk directly to me. However, participants may be muted during class for the best sound quality. You can use the chat function to ask a question during class.

Will there be music playing during class?

  • Yes!

Would you be able to see me when I sign into a class?

• Yes, people will be able to see you! Using your camera is how we can provide feedback and techniques.

• Other participants will be quite small on the screen. I will be the only one that you see in large view. Don’t be shy. Everybody will be working hard and worried about themselves, not what they do.
